The concept of this house is continued and perfected in every architectural decision. By distinct LED lines, the most important architectural lines are accentuated. The white stucco material makes these lines stand even more.

The starting point of this minimalist home is an optimal relationship between man and nature. This can literally be seen in the shape of the house; through its 115° angle, the building embraces its surroundings. This angle also ensures that the plot is used optimally and gives the illusion that the house has its back turned to the road, creating privacy.

Minimalism, indoor-outdoor living and a gravity-defying overhang characterize this building. The closed front façade creates privacy while the building opens up towards the back garden. Behind it, a calmly flowing river separates the plot from the green park next to it. The building is oriented to the river, opening up and inviting the serenity of flowing water inside.

Floating house characterizes itself because of its four unique façades. Usually, buildings have a distinction between the front, back and side façades. But with Floating House, every façade was carefully designed in detail. Situated in the middle of the plot, every face of the building gets its own garden.

This unique take on a two-family home started with an interesting assignment; two clients with teenage children want to live together. The challenge: integrating the families while allowing privacy and separation simultaneously.
